When God laid it on my heart to develop AMA10:27, I was overwhelmed. At that point in my life I had already spent decades overseas doing sports work and ministry of many kinds. I have witnessed first-hand what God can do through our gifts and passions. I came back to America and was immediately saddened by the state of so many Christians and churches. I realized quickly that most people I would interact with in the church were to busy or distracted by not only these devices we carry everywhere in our pockets, but worn out by broken families and relationships, immense debt or financial strain, struggling physical and mental health, a complete lack of eternal perspective that gives hope, and so much more. All the while, claiming to wear the name of Jesus.
